About

Are you a current RLSS National Pool Lifeguard? If so then we want to hear from you! We are looking for proactive and hardworking individuals to join our team to help keep our guests safe while on the water.

Working as an Open Water Lifeguard is a physically active and hands-on role. You will need to be fit, focused, confident in the water, and ready to respond quickly and calmly in an emergency. The role also requires strong communication skills, teamwork, and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for our guests.

Could you be part of our Lifeguard Team this summer?

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants must be 16 years or above.
  • Must hold a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification with the Royal Life Saving Society UK.
  • Evidence of your qualification will be checked during the skills check, so please ensure you bring your TahDah login details and RLSS society number with you.

Pay & Contract

This role is offered on a casual, seasonal basis, with hours varying in line with operational demand.

Pay is between £12.00 and £13.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional hours may be available during peak periods.

Successful applicants must be prepared to complete further lifeguarding training and site-specific training before starting work.

An initial contribution of £80 is required to secure your place on the course. A further £120 will be held from your wages to cover the remaining cost of the qualification, bringing the total contribution to £200.

  • You work the full season with Cliff Lakes, from July to September.
  • You complete a minimum of 120 working hours during the season.
  • You attend regular CPD training sessions as required.

If these criteria are met, Cliff Lakes will fully fund your qualification, which you may retain and use elsewhere.
