All of our commonly asked questions about your tip in one place.

What do I need to bring with me?

For all of our activities, you need to bring the following:

  • Swimming Costume ( we encourage customers to put this on before arrival)
  • Towel
  • Warm Clothes
  • Wooly hat (for cold days)

    Open Water Swimming

    • All swimmers must wear a brightly coloured swim hat (Which can be purchased on the day).
    • Tow Float (can be hired on the day (subject to availability).
      Do you provide wetsuits?

      We have no hidden costs, wetsuit are included with the admission price for Aqualand and Paddleboarding. We stock shortie 3mm & 5mm wetsuits which fit most people.

      Please note we don’t provide wetsuits for Open Water Swimming

      Do I need to pay parking?

      There is no need to pay for parking; this is free to all of our customers. Please bring your car registration with you to write down at reception. After you have done this, you are all set; Just drive out the barrier at the end of your session. There is no need to visit the parking machine.

      Can I bring my dog?

      Yes, we welcome well-behaved dogs in the spectator’s area as long as they are on a lead. All we ask is that you are respectful to other customers and make sure you clean up your dog’s mess. 

      Do you have food on-site?

      Yes, our Food Bar serves a selection of food, including burgers, hot dogs, baguettes, and chips. Head over to our Food & Drinks page for more information.

      Additionally, we also cater for groups and birthday parties after their session. Head to our Groups page for more information. 

      Where can I put my personal items during my session?

      We have lockers available for £3 per lock, place all your items in the locker and you won’t need to worry about leaving them anywhere! Once you have purchased a padlock, it is yours to keep. Make sure to keep it safe for your next visit!

      Do you have showers?

      Yes, we have eco-friendly showers that you can rinse off after you exit the lake, please note that these are cold showers, no soaps or shampoo are allowed to be used in these showers.

      Can I bring my GoPro?

      Yes, you can capture your exciting experience on a Go-Pro however, this must be mounted in the chest mount position and be placed under your buoyancy aid.

      What is your wet weather policy?

      We operate as usual during all weather unless we have thunderstorms or high winds. Unfortunately, these can’t be predicted, and your session could be cancelled or delayed last minute. In the event of this happening, we will contact party leaders.

      Do you have lifegaurds?

      We have plenty of lifeguards at the park during your visit who are there to keep everyone safe. 

      What do you offer for birthday parties?

      Do children need to be accompanied while on the Activites?

      Yes, children must be supervised for their own safety.

      • Participants aged between 6 – 7 years must have an adult on the park with them during their session in a ratio of 1:3
      • Participants aged 8 – 15 years must have an adult on-site at all times.
      • Participants ages 16 years and above can participate without an adult on-site.
      I can't find the date I want

      Our booking system shows availability in real-time. If you can’t find the date and time you are looking for then it is likely to be sold out or unavailable. Sadly we don’t hold a  reserve list either. Our team cannot reserve or book tickets on your behalf over the phone.

      Do I need to wear a wetsuit?

      When the water temperature is cooler, wearing a wetsuit is highly recommended, and we may ask that they be required on wet and windy days. Wetsuits are free of charge and come at no additional cost. You are welcome to bring your own wetsuit if you wish.

      Sadly wetsuits are only for our Aqua Park, Aqua Chimp and Try SUP activities. 

      What if I am late for my session?

      We are not responsible for your journey or traffic, which during weekends and bank holidays can be very busy. Unfortunately, we cannot get you onto the park if you miss your safety briefing. We will try our best to help you, but we cannot be held responsible for late arrivals. 

      Do I need footwear on activities?

      Aqualand

      • Aqua socks are included in every booking. They reduce the risk of injury. Wetsuit shoes may also be worn.
      • No trainers are allowed on the park.

        • Old trainers are ideal
        Can I bring a picnic or have a BBQ?

        No. We don’t allow picnics or BBQs. Cliff Lakes is private land and to protect our local nature and general cleanliness of the site, we ask that all food must be purchased from a Cliff Lakes food and beverage outlet and consumed in our designated areas.

        Do you serve alcohol?

        Yes, we have a fully licensed bar on site. Our bar is only open during activity hours.

        Can spectators come and watch?

        Course they can! We have a large spectator area that offers great views of all of our activities. 

        Can I walk my dog around the lake?

        Yes, you can walk your dogs around the lake. Car parking charges apply.

        Are there changing rooms?

        Yes, we have large male and female changing rooms available.

        When should I arrive?

        To ensure you don’t miss your session, please ensure you arrive at the correct times.

        • Aqualand & Try SUP – Please check in at reception 30 minutes before your activity.
        • Open Water Swimming – Please check in at reception 15 minutes before your activity.

        Complete your waiver before arrival to ensure you don’t miss your session!
