About
We are looking for enthusiastic and friendly team players to join our leisure assistant team. As this is a customer-facing role, you should be a confident communicator. Each day brings new challenges as our operations continue in all weather conditions, rain or shine.
Candidates must be at least 16 years old, making this position ideal for students or individuals seeking casual work. You will typically be working on weekends and during school holidays.
No prior experience is required, and you will typically be working outdoors. We will provide you with an induction and a uniform for your role.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining a Clean Environment: Keep work areas neat and tidy.
- Stock Management: Carry out regular stock takes.
- Equipment Distribution: Hand out wetsuits and lifejackets.
- Facility Upkeep: Check and clean changing rooms.
- Food & Beverage Service: Serve hot drinks, soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, and ice creams.
- Transaction Handling: Process cash and card payments accurately.
- Daily Operations: Perform start-of-day and end-of-day tasks.
- Customer Service: Address customer enquiries and ensure a friendly service.
- Additional Duties: Assist with other tasks as required.
Working Hours
Our start-of-season training kicks off on Saturday, 26th April, and we will open on Saturday, 3rd May 2025, meaning you’ll hit the ground running from day one! While most shifts are scheduled on weekends and during school holidays, there may be weekday shifts toward the end of the summer term. Shifts can range from 4 to 10 hours, with peak periods during the height of summer.
