We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly team players to join our Leisure Assistant team.
You are at the forefront of our guest experience and will be on hand to help our guests. As this is a customer-facing role, you should be a confident communicator who enjoys working with people. No two days are the same at Cliff Lakes. You’ll be supporting a wide range of activities as our operations continue in all weather conditions, rain or shine. This role involves manual handling and working on your feet for extended periods.
Candidates must be at least 16 years old, making this role ideal for students or individuals seeking flexible, seasonal work.
No prior experience is required. You’ll receive a full induction, uniform, and on-site training to prepare you for the role. Just bring a positive attitude and willingness to learn!
Pay & Contract
This role is offered on a casual, seasonal basis, with hours varying in line with operational demand.
We offer a competitive rate of £9.00 – £13.00 per hour, depending on age, experience, and qualifications. Opportunities for additional hours are available during peak periods.


Responsibilities
- Maintaining a Clean Environment – Keeping operational and customer areas clean, safe, and presentable.
- Stock Management – Carrying out stock takes and restocking retail and operational items.
- Equipment Distribution – Issuing wetsuits, buoyancy aids, and safety equipment to guests.
- Facility Upkeep – Checking and cleaning changing rooms and public facilities.
- Daily Operations – Supporting start-of-day setup and end-of-day close-down procedures.
- Customer Service – Handling enquiries, assisting guests, and delivering a friendly experience.
- Additional Duties – Supporting other departments and operational needs as required.
Working Hours
Our start-of-season training begins on Saturday 25th April 2026, ahead of opening day on Saturday 2nd May 2026, meaning you’ll hit the ground running from day one.
Most shifts will take place on weekends and during school holidays, with additional weekday shifts available towards the end of the summer term.
Shifts typically range from 4 to 10 hours, particularly during peak summer periods.
