What an incredible winter swimming season we’ve had at Cliff Lakes! From crisp, misty mornings to ice-rimmed edges, every session this season has been an unforgettable experience. Whether you joined us weekly or braved the cold for the first time, we want to thank every swimmer who took the plunge.
The lowest water temperature we recorded this season was a brisk 2.8°C—an actual test of courage, resilience, and neoprene! It has been amazing to see so many swimmers embrace the cold with such enthusiasm and spirit.
We would also like to thank our swim coaching partners, The Outdoor Swimming Company. Their winter introduction sessions have been a fantastic way for newcomers to experience the benefits safely. Their support has made a significant difference, helping swimmers build confidence in open water and master breathing techniques.
What’s next?
As the season changes, so do we. Over the next few weeks, we will take a short break to prepare for summer. This includes installing our brand-new Aqua Park, conducting essential maintenance, and providing refresher training to our fantastic team to ensure everything runs smoothly when we reopen.
We will be back in the water from Saturday 10th May 2025
- Saturday (from 10th May 2025) | 08:30 – 10:30
- Wednesday’s (from 14th May 2025) | 17:30 – 19:30
We can’t wait to welcome you back for another fantastic season of open water swimming! Until then, thank you for being a part of our winter swim community. Stay active, stay safe, and stay excited – summer is just around the corner!
