As summer bids us farewell and crisp autumn mornings begin to settle in, we can reflect on the last few months of the summer season.
Our park buzzed with energy as we welcomed more families than ever before, from near and far, but sadly, it has to come to an end at some point. We’ve welcomed more families than ever to our park this year from both up and down the county as we have expanded our park making it bigger and better. Whether it was splashing on the inflatables, tackling new challenges, or simply enjoying a day outdoors, each visit contributed to an incredible season filled with laughter!
The Winter Months
Our team will be hard at work during the winter months, getting ready for next year. Firstly, we’ve got the almighty job of packing down. Each element that makes up Aqualand has to undergo an extensive cleaning process, which includes jet washing, scrubbing, polishing, drying, and folding! Following this, we will get to work implementing our plans for next year; keep an eye on our social media feeds to see what we are up to!
Swimming
We have now hit our summer/ winter break, where our team will take a well-deserved rest. However, do not fear! Our team will be back in November when we will commence our Winter Swimming. This year, we will be taking part in the NOWCA Sub10 Club, where swimmers can gain badges after completing swims.
The Sub10 Club is NOWCA’s cold-water community that swims through the Winter when water temperatures are most likely to drop below 10°C. The ethos is to help and support like-minded swimmers and to enjoy the physical and mental health benefits of cold-water swimming in a safe setting.
As part of the Sub10 Club, they tally each member’s winter swim and reward swimmers with an embroidered badge at their 10, 25 and 50 Sub10 swim milestones.
